GIBLINS RESERVE

Public BBQ

Giblins Reserve sits on the banks of the Derwent River with views across Prince of Wales Bay. The park recently underwent a major upgrade, bringing brand new BBQ facilities that are kept consistently clean and tidy. Two separate BBQ areas sit on either side of a picnic shelter, making it convenient for larger gatherings. The playground features a soft rubber surface with equipment suitable for all ages, while paperbark trees provide natural shade across the reserve. Facilities include plenty of seating, tables, a toilet block, and accessible parking close to the main shelter with easy access for prams and wheelchairs. A jogging track loops through the area, and there's a boat ramp for water access. The shelter itself shows some wear but the overall setting and amenities make this a solid spot for families. Dogs are welcome but must stay on lead.
